A vital start

Spring is the time to cleanse and detoxify your body

Spring is a wonderful time when light gradually increases, sap begins to flow, and the first flowers and buds emerge. It gives us energy to move with the new cycle of the year.

What if you're feeling tired, not quite fit? Or perhaps you just want to shake off winter and declutter to start the new year feeling fresh and clean?

This time is ideal for cleansing or detoxifying your body. Cleansing begins with drinking plenty of water and herbal tea, exercising, and eating healthily. Detoxification consists of two phases: releasing waste products or toxins and then removing them.

During the winter months our bodies slow down

The body likes to retain heat and energy. This can cause detoxifying organs, such as the liver and kidneys, to become somewhat sluggish and accumulate waste products and fats. Spring plants and herbs contain bitter substances and many vitamins and minerals. These stimulate your digestion and detoxifying organs. Nature itself indicates which herbs and flowers are good for you in the spring. For example:

# soup or tea from the first nettle tops
Nettles are a source of iron, vitamins, minerals such as silicon, and trace elements. Nettles also have a diuretic effect.

# Petals and young leaves of the Dandelion in your salad
Dandelion is bitter and has a strong cleansing effect on the liver, bile, kidneys and bladder.

# Wild Garlic Pesto (Garlic Family)
Wild garlic helps to get your body moving again and regain strength through its (blood) cleansing properties and vitamins/minerals.

Other liver and detox herbs include Milk Thistle, Coriander, Turmeric and Greater Celestial.

In TinctureThese herbs are very easy to take and dose in this form.

Cleaning and regeneration

The liver is the main detoxification organ. When the body is burdened with waste and toxins, such as due to an infection or a buildup, the liver struggles, and you can feel very tired. To recover, the liver primarily needs bitter substances.

Livermagic and LeverSchoon are concentrated, small-scale produced organic herbal preparations, made from organic cane molasses and bitter herbs. Livermagic contains four Ayurvedic Livermagicherbs: Kalmegh, Neem, Haritaki and Shatavari. Livermagic has two versions: our “regular” Livermagic and Leverbitter Strong with twice as many herbs. The taste of Livermagic It's sweet and powerfully bitter. If you like salmiak, you'll definitely appreciate and enjoy this flavor.

In addition we have LeverSchoonThis contains four European herbs known for their liver cleansing and supporting effects: Dandelion, Milk Thistle, Artichoke Root, Burdock root. Also based on molasses. Compared to Livermagic tastes LeverSchoon a little milder, sweeter.

TIP: You can also find the liver herbs loose in our shop to mix with a sweetener, cottage cheese or smoothie.

What can bitter substances in our Livermagicproducts for you?

Bitter substances are very important and unfortunately much less present in our diet than in the past. Eating or ingesting bitter substances stimulates the bitter receptors in the taste buds in your mouth. The vagus nerve (cranial nerve) picks up the stimulation and sends signals to various organs. This increases the production of saliva, gastric juices, bile, pancreatic juices, and intestinal juices. The bitter substances also activate the liver, bile, and pancreas, improving their functioning. Because the bitter substances activate digestive juices and intestinal function, optimal gut flora is created. This is the foundation for a well-functioning immune system.

How do I use Livermagic and LeverSchoon?

  • You can assume the standard dosage:

½ teaspoon in the morning (preferably on an empty stomach)

½ teaspoon early afternoon

½ teaspoon before dinner and possibly also ½ teaspoon before going to bed.

From the ordinary Livermagic you can take a little more, a little less of the strong one.

  • You can also find the right dosage yourself. Pay attention to how your body reacts. Sometimes your body really needs bitter substances, in which case you can take a little more. Sometimes the body feels Livermagic-saturated and it is good to take a break every now and then.

Disposal of waste materials

To eliminate toxins through your intestines, you can use zeolite, bentonite, or chlorella (a freshwater algae). We recommend this when detoxing, as toxins released in the intestines are reabsorbed into the bloodstream, creating a vicious cycle and perpetuating your symptoms.

Zeolite is a 100% natural volcanic clay mineral with the ability to bind toxins and waste products. Zeolite detoxifies, purifies, eliminates waste, deacidifies, and regulates the body. Therefore, it can also be used on its own.

ZeoliteMED is a certified medical product made from ground clinoptilolite zeolite. Premium Zeolite—our house brand—is ultrafinely ground, high-purity zeolite.

Bentonite shares many similarities with zeolite. One difference is that bentonite forms a jelly-like protective film, making its effect gentler. It is therefore suitable as an initial phase of detoxification, especially for highly sensitive individuals.
