Bentonite is a type of clay of volcanic origin and consists of 95% Montmorillonite-Bentonite, which is the purest form of Bentonite.

Bentonite shares many similarities with zeolite. One difference between it and zeolite is that bentonite forms a jelly-like protective film, making it more gentle.
