Detox paardenbloem

Detox – Go into spring feeling fresh and vibrant!

Spring is a wonderful time when the light slowly increases, the sap flows of trees start to flow and the first flowers and sprouts show themselves. This period in particular asks us to let go of the old ballast. In this way we can move along with a new cycle of the year full of energy. Spring is therefore the ideal time for a detox. But how do you do that?

Detox and give your body space

Are you not completely fit, tired, do you experience a bloated feeling, do you have a cottony head or suffer from reduced resistance? These are just a few examples of symptoms that can occur when you have too many waste products in your body. This occurs more quickly during the winter months, because our body slows down and wants to retain heat and energy.

After this period, it is important to give your body the space to perform overdue maintenance. It is therefore advisable to opt for a conscious (temporary) diet. Do this in a way that suits you: a period of fasting, a juice cure or a diet according to Ayurvedic guidelines etc. What these different methods have in common is that they try to relieve the digestion, so that your metabolism comes back into balance. The goal of a detox.

Support your organs

The liver and kidneys play an important role in breaking down and filtering waste. You can help these organs by using herbs and other natural remedies. Dandelion, milk thistle and turmeric are good for the liver and can also help digestion**. This also applies to our Livermagic and LeverSchoon**. You can find more herbs with an effect on the liver in our collection: Liver. Do you want to support your kidneys? Nettle, birch leaf and horsetail have a nice effect on that**.

Dispose of all waste materials

A step that is often forgotten in a detox is supporting the body in excreting the toxins. The body does this through urine, feces, but by sweating through the skin. An important condition for this is drinking enough water (and herbal teas). You can also support the excretion of waste products with zeolite, bentonite and chlorella. Chlorella, but also moringa are also packed with vitamins.

Reap the benefits of spring

Also look around you. Nature itself indicates which herbs and flowers are good for you in the spring. Spring plants and herbs often contain bitter substances and many vitamins and minerals. These often also have an effect on the digestive and detoxifying organs**. For example:

# soup or tea from the first nettle tops. Nettles are a source of iron, vitamins, minerals such as silicon and trace elements.
# Petals and the young bitter leaves of the Dandelion in your salad.
# Pesto of Wild Garlic (family of garlic). Wild garlic helps to get your body going again and to regain strength through its cleansing properties and vitamins/minerals.
